Miles Redd + The Winner!

I have to admit I never picked up an issue of Town & Country until Stephen Drucker took over. Not sure what it was like before, but his first issue impressed me. This Atlanta home designed by color genius Miles Redd and photographed by Francesco Lagnese is opulence at its finest. The living room?? The walls are covered in stretched turquoise silk satin. The dressing room? Hand painted de Gournay wallaper. And the breathtaking bedroom floor?? Oscar de la Renta leopard-print carpet. I love the fashion sketches in the bathroom covering the platinum blue Boussac Tarentelle wallpaper too. Oh the other half!

Time to announce the lucky winner of the Candace Rose giveaway!

Tyler of Tyler's Taste Tests!!!

And with that happy news, I'm going to turn off my computer and get ready for my trip to New York! I leave tomorrow morning and will be gone 10 whole days. Yay! I asked some of my favorite bloggers to entertain and inspire us with their favorite turquoise spaces. You'll love it. In addition, you can still check out Everything Turquoise...I have 50 posts scheduled on there! ;)

Dream Workspace

One of the things that excited me when I moved last year was to finally have my own office. I had big dreams for the space ... beautiful and efficient space, colorful and inspiring life. It was about 6 months. From the outset, I received a fabulous new apartment (thanks Dad!), BM beautiful waterfall wall (thanks Chris !)...... Ikea furniture and the remains of my apartment. No art, no curtains, no doorstep. That's my resolution for the new year, fancy my workspace. MyHomeIdeas that would be perfect. They call this the "control center of the family." That's what I call a blogger's dream of turquoise!

I can't think of a better way to dip your toes in lovely turquoise waters than by painting display shelves or the inside of cupboards. The subtle touch of color is truly the perfect backdrop for allowing collectibles to shine or offsetting dishware. It seems like it could be a pretty simple project too (although I really shouldn't talk!), but one that leaves a big impact. Do you any of you have painted shelves in your home?

Be sure to stop by next week, I'm working on something very cool that I know you guys are gonna go nuts over! Until then, I hope you all have fabulous fall weekend!

Dreamy Blue Cabinet

Another incredible cupboard this week, courtesy of the lovely Maria of Dreamy Whites. It's a total show-stopper in that otherwise white room. I can't think of a better way to show-off her fantastic collection of antique jars, pitchers and grain sacks! The chicken wire is so perfect too! The antique cabinet was actually this color when she bought it, but one side of it wasn't painted so she had it color matched. I love that she painted the inside a subtle gray...I love blue and gray! To see lots more pictures and to learn the paint colors, head over to Dreamy Whites!

Meet Seleta

If you guys don't already follow Simply Seleta, you should start. Seleta is a mother of 4, with fantastic sense of style (and the cutest kids and animals ever). I promise you'll love all of her stories and the inspirational images she shares, especially the photos of her home. Take her foyer above with a new facelift...isn't it perfection? She designed the cabinet herself, and had it built when they were redoing their kitchen. It's painted Benjamin Moore Wythe Blue (with heavy distressing). The accessories add a ton of personality and organization too (you can read all about them on her blog here). I also included her laundry room, because the curtain fabric (China Seas leopard pattern) is fab-fab-fabulous!

Turquoise Surprise

Pretty sure those hutch doors would always be open if I had this delightful secretary desk in my home! Talk about a surefire way to guarantee smiles when putting dishes away though! I love the little blue boxes too...so cute! Via nice*room

Calm and Cool

I am loving the fresh and serene vibe that I'm getting from these two images! (First room from Traditional Home, second from Canadian House & Home.) I am really needing this dose of calmness today...I'm so nervous! This afternoon I'm flying down to Kansas City to meet the nice folks over at Hallmark, then tomorrow morning I'm giving their creative division a presentation all about turquoise (and my blogs, of course). What an honor to be asked to talk about my two favorite things! And hopefully we'll have some converts to our favorite color! :)
