Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you're all feeling the l-o-v-e today!! I've shared this room designed by Diane Bergeron before, it's one of my favorites, but I really couldn't think of a more perfect photo for the day! Don't you love the extra color from the piping and trim, all the pillows covered in Rubie Green "East Village" fabric, and that cute Love poster?! (Anyone have info on that?) The bedroom actually belongs to Diane's daughter in their Melbourne home...what a lucky girl!

I'm so excited for my very first (and only!) Valentine's Day as an engaged girl! Happy V-Day, Chris, I can't wait to celebrate! I wish you all a wonderful, love-filled day as well! <3 Edit: Thanks to Chelsea from This Fresh Fossil for giving us info on the Love design! It was designed by Alexander Girar, a 20th century artist and modern design master. What's even cooler is that if you head to How About Orange, you can download the iconic design for your desktop wallpaper!

Turquoise And Pink Girl Room

If anyone can prove that good design doesn't always have to cost a fortune, it's the talented Judy of DIY by Design. She recently revealed the transformation of her ten year-old daughter's room, who requested her space have aqua in it. Judy chose Benjamin Moore Whispering Spring for three of the walls, and stenciled the pink wall all by herself! Amazing! In fact, so much of what you see Judy made by herself, in addition to a few great finds from Home Goods, Target or PB Kids. You have to head over to her blog for more images and to read all about this dreamy space!

Design Bloggers Conference

It is therefore not surprising that the boy clean room is small and easy outside Scandinavia. I saw it on Norwegian Interior Blogger, but you can check more information about space on the blog Norwegian Bo happiness. A note: I studied two years at the Norwegian College, part of the full-time in Oslo. Today, my Norwegian? Ikke så bra. It is good, pleasant rooms and good pictures speak a universal language!

So, did you hear about all the guys at the next conference Design bloggers? This is a two-day conference in Los Angeles in late February. So many of our favorite design bloggers are talking about, and even more to participate. (You can see the list of both.) Can you imagine ... two days totally focused on blogging design?! Meeting all our friends in cyber?! Networking with people super-talented?! What a dream! I officially decided that I frequent, so if any of you are so good, so let me know!

I wish you all a wonderful weekend! Stay warm!

Craig Kettles

I'm back!!! What a fantastic vacation I had! I can't wait to get my pictures on to my computer (all 1,300 of them!) and share a few favorites with you guys. I saw loads of turquoise gems I know you're gonna love. I just want to send another thank you to all of my talented guest bloggers...I loved all of your posts!

Since I'm feeling pretty exhausted (the NYC part of our trip should have been first on our itinerary!) but mostly since I wish I was still at the beach, I felt these rooms designed by Craig Kettles were perfectly fitting for the day. I'm loving the painted floor and cozy nooks in the bunk room. Wouldn't the painted ceiling in the bedroom would be a delight to gaze up at?! Both rooms so simple, but absolutely lovely in every way! For more spaces as equally as beautiful, head on over to C Designs!

Bright Bold & Beautiful Giveaway!

I'm loving this eclectic boy's room I found in the October issue of Marie Claire Maison photographed by Nicolas Matheus. The bedroom belongs to the son of Tracy Rushmere, a South African designer who created Shine Shine, a line of contemporary African commemorative cloths that includes the whimsical fabric on the headboard above. So fun!

Giveaway Time!

I'm absolutely thrilled about this giveaway courtesy of Laura Trevey, artist and blogger extraordinaire! So many of you already know and love her work and blog (and her turquoise studio!) which is why I'm so excited that she painted "Birds on a Wire", a brilliant original watercolor painting that measures 5" x 11.5"--just for you guys! Don't you love the colors and those plump little birds?! Additionally, Laura is offering a 15% discount, good through the month of October. (Just contact her for details.) Although this painting is exclusive and won't be available for purchase, I know you guys will love her "Winter Wonderland" that is being featured today on my Just Blue & Green blog. Or you can copy me and get your very own "Summer Breeze"...the colors are perfection!

Tara Seawright

There's so much to love in this cheery Shelter Island home designed by Manhattan-based interior designer Tara Seawright and featured in Hamptons Cottages and Gardens. The serene and beachy color palette of the master bedroom is just perfect. How about the peacock blue library just off of it with the comfy sectional...what an escape! And did you spot the leather hippo footstool in the study?! Parents rest their feet or kids take a little ride...I love it!

Ok first off SORRY for so many pictures today! I started this not realizing how many I'd compiled! Next time I promise I won't wait so long to do a readers' room post! Now...how cool are these?! Isn't it amazing how everyone uses turquoise in a different way? How the different shades look great with different colors, create so many different moods? Above is why I love the color. And why I love you guys. You're all so creative! I wish you all lived around Minneapolis so I could come sit in your homes and enjoy the inspiring spaces you've created. Thank you for sending me your photos...each one truly brings me joy! And with that, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy! :)
