Amanda Carol Interiors

The Christmas decorations are just the icing on the cake in this home tour! The beautiful, inviting home belongs to Amanda Eck of Amanda Carol Interiors from The Woodlands, Texas (photography by Christa Elyce Photography). How gorgeous is the dining room adorned in Wedgewood Gray?! I love how those pretty white plates just pop out at you! The laundry room is uber cute too, and so organized! But lets talk about her holiday decorations. Turquoise, gold and silver...what a stunning trio! See more great rooms from Amanda's home here! Oh and you guys have to see how her home has changed since these photos were taken...you won't even recognize her dining room! Hint: Emerald! Definitely visit her blog for tons more inspiration and eye candy!

Sand & Sisal Laundry Room

Laundry rooms aren't usually the first spaces to get decorated, but I feel like we ALL love and appreciate a pretty laundry room! Kim Wilson of Sand & Sisal decided that since she had to spend so much of her time doing laundry ("with two messy teen girls, two dirty, sweaty, little boys, a hubs who never unrolls his gym socks!" Ha!!), then her laundry room had to at least be beautiful! She did a stellar job on the makeover, don't you think?? She used one of my favorite paint colors on the walls–"Rainwashed" by Sherwin Williams. I especially love it next to the fresh white beadboard ceiling and crown molding that they installed. The sorting station is absolutely genius too!! Read all about this inspiring space and see lots more pics (including before's) right here!

Hi House of Turquoise readers. This is Coco. My blog's name is COCOCOZY.

I'm guest posting here for Erin as she takes a little well deserved vacation! I was so honored when Erin emailed me last week and asked if I would guest post about my favorite turquoise rooms. So here goes!

I love a room infused with turquoise blue. There is something invigorating, exciting and cheerful about about a blue room! I love the color turquoise. I have a wonderful dose of it in my living room in the Hollywood Hills in a huge piece of art, a turquoise blue chandelier in bathroom, had a load of turquoise blue outside in my outdoor living space on my deck. Makes me so happy to see the blue for some reason. How about you?

Here are may favorite blue spaces these days...

Thanks Erin for asking me to guest post - hope you are enjoying your vacation!

Have a great week everyone!

Meet Seleta

If you guys don't already follow Simply Seleta, you should start. Seleta is a mother of 4, with fantastic sense of style (and the cutest kids and animals ever). I promise you'll love all of her stories and the inspirational images she shares, especially the photos of her home. Take her foyer above with a new facelift...isn't it perfection? She designed the cabinet herself, and had it built when they were redoing their kitchen. It's painted Benjamin Moore Wythe Blue (with heavy distressing). The accessories add a ton of personality and organization too (you can read all about them on her blog here). I also included her laundry room, because the curtain fabric (China Seas leopard pattern) is fab-fab-fabulous!

Lovely Laundry Room

This delightful laundry room was designed by reader and fellow blogger Diane of Passionate for White. Doing laundry would be so much less of a chore if I had a beautiful room like this. Heck I'd probably do laundry every day just so spend time in it! Diane said that the scheme was inspired by the clothespin bag her mother in-law made from a child's dress and graciously passed on to her. You can see it hanging in the first image...isn't it adorable?! What a treasure!

Jo Rabaut

Here is a sneak peak into the rest of the home with the Kitchen of the Year I posted about on Tuesday. You can see how the Atlanta-based designer Jo Rabaut carried that gorgeous blue throughout the home. I especially love the spacious laundry room...those drying racks are great. I never have enough space to dry my clothes! To see more images from this Garden Hills residence (including a particularly envy-inducing closet and master bath), check out the portfolio of Rabaut Design Associates!

Edit: Jo Rabaut was kind enough to provide me with the paint information. The kitchen and laundry wall colors are Sherwin Williams SW 6211 Rainwashed.

My Dream Vacation Home

I almost drooled all over my June issue of Coastal Living when I landed on the article "New House Old Soul" showcasing a vacation home in Georgia designed by Jane Coslick. Gosh I love Jane. We're getting pretty close to perfection here people. I think this could easily be my dream vacation home. I see these images and I wonder why in the heck I live in Minnesota. "The Land of 10,000 Lakes" just doesn't seem to cut it!
