Happy Thanksgiving!

Just stopping in to wish all of my American readers a Happy Thanksgiving! Isn't this tablescape designed by Chris Nease of Celebrations at Home perfect for today (and this blog)?! I love the brown and turquoise color scheme with the pop of orange and yellow from the flowers. So many great ideas here, my favorite being the cute wishbones! I love that everyone gets to make a wish! See more pics and learn all about this festive table right here!

I can hardly believe it but this November marks my 5th year writing this blog. I'd never have made it this long without all of your support and encouragement, not to mention shared love of turquoise! So on this thankfullest day of the year, thank YOU from the bottom of my heart for reading House of Turquoise!

Signing off from our cute little cabin in Montana!

Elegant Dining Room

What a fab dining room belonging to actress Alex Meneses and designed by Alessandra Branca. Oh how I'd love to call those chairs my own! The hand-painted chinoiserie wallpaper is gorgeous, as is the mesh-covered chandelier. Definitely head over to Chicago Home & Garden to check out more of this Chicago condo, including a cool kitchen filled with stainless steel cabinets.

Sarah Richardson

I was beyond delighted to spot an image of this dining room on BabyCheri Style, as I'd seen the room before in the portfolio of photographer Stacey Brandford (and wrote about it last year, but you know how it is when you see more of a room you love!!). The room was designed by Toronto based interior designer Sarah Richardson. (You must check out her site, it's a ton of fun to go through!) I like the description of the room off her portfolio: A study in neutral backdrops brought to life with bold injections of bright shades drawn from the surrounding ocean views. It's formal yet family friendly, elegant yet easygoing, and fashionable at every turn.

I also need to add a great big thank you to Christina over at Down And Out Chic for spotlighting House of Turquoise yesterday. It was such a pleasure to be interviewed for her fab blog! I'm super excited to have some new readers too!

Flowerwild

I'm not usually very interested in floral arrangements, but this quickly changed when I discovered Kate Holt, the owner and lead designer of Flowerwild in Burbank, California via Decor8. Holy cow does her website and blog feature some beautiful arrangements. I swear I can smell all the floral goodness! Isn't this table setting featured in Sunset Magazine just lovely?? The red with the turquoise is always a winner with me!
