After learning about Wendi Young Design over at Desire to Inspire, I immediately headed over to her website to take a look at her portfolio. It blew me away...I love her California-cool style! All the rooms are filled with so many amazing details, you really get a sense that they are real homes with stories and life! “The Aerie” by Benjamin Dhong

Ooh la la! This sitting room designed by Benjamin Dhong is a meditation on winged flight. Located in the tower attic of the 2010 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, the room was inspired by a romantic Parisian garret. I love the serene vibe of the space, it really feels like a cozy nest (albeit an incredibly chic one!) The fabrics on the pillows are scrumptious and add the perfect pop of color to the room!

Samantha Pynn

Last July I did a short post about Samantha Pynn, the decorator, stylist, and host designer of Pure Design on HGTV, in addition to being a design editor for Style at Home magazine. Talk about talent! I only shared one image then, of the bedroom above, but you guys all told me how much you loved her and her designs. It was enough to have me hooked! So I was delighted to discover she has a new website filled with fabulous, fun, colorful rooms all photographed by Virginia Macdonald. Georgia Carlee

I've featured the WaterColor, Florida home by Georgia Carlee of GCI Design before, but after taking a look at her portfolio, I had to feature it again, this time with some bonus images in addition to the ones from Traditional Home. (Plus now I know how to have larger images, 2 years ago I did not!) I love the soothing, beachy color scheme and all the natural elements...totally reminds me of the sand and sky. Definitely the perfect beachy home, if you ask me!

Beach-Style Chic

Last week Mona of the Providence Ltd. Design Blog had a sneak peek of the June issue of At Home in Arkansas magazine. She shared images from an amazing villa with a view of Lake Hamilton (see it here), and then THIS stunner designed by Kevin Walsh of Bear-Hill Interiors. There's so much to love in this lake-front home...that top bedroom painted Sherwin Williams Spa, that amazing chandelier, the TDF wallpapered foyer! Love it all! DIY Turquoise Headboard

I am in love this DIY headboard belonging to Rebecca Domin and Chris Musina of Toronto. Their home was declared a winner with "Best Use of Colour" in Canadian House and Home's 2010 design contest. The turquoise sure does stand out against the rest of the minimalist decor! Isn't that Designers Guild fabric is so yummy?!

Amoroso Design

I was so happy to discover the San Francisco design firm Amoroso Design by way of Desire to Inspire. Their portfolio is filled with great spaces, including this beachy San Carlos home. I love the neutral backdrop and how the blue accents make it such a cheerful, comfortable, family-friendly space. I am really loving that computer workstation in the kitchen...I have a feeling I'd be sitting there all the time!
