Stella Cadente

I loved this post on Down and Out Chic dedicated to striking purple and blue interiors. Among the collection was this way cool guesthouse located in Provins, France. The rooms in La maison de Stella Cadente were actually designed by fashion designer Stella Cadente. Each room has its own unique personality, but my favorite is the jewel-toned "non-smoking" room above. She also designed the Salon Beaujon in the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe. The turquoise ceilings are tres fabuleux!

Turquoise Cottage Garden

This colorful hideaway featured in Le journal de la maison is the perfect escape for an afternoon nap! The cute little garden cottage is getting me pumped for the weekend (and the Spring). I'm super excited for tomorrow...we're going to another Independent Wedding Fair in Minneapolis. They're small and intimate, and oh-so-fun. We learned SO much at the last one, I totally recommend checking it out if you're engaged or know someone who is!

Purple Perfection

I'm almost certain that this picture perfect apartment featured on Delikatissen, most likely in some fab European city, could convince any American to down-size to 430 square feet. (Unless you live in NY, you guys already rock your small spaces!) Despite its limited size, the comfy and cozy home has such a great flow about it. Not to mention a striking color palette that I don't see nearly enough! How fun is that fabric and wallpaper?! You definitely want to see more of this home...head right this way!

Soooooo beautiful. You can almost hear the waves outside the windows? Laura Ocampo has designed the light house by the sea in the countryside of Uruguay to meet the cool sea and the relaxed atmosphere of the campaign. I love everything in the first room ... flowy white curtains, a beautiful painting purple, white walls, floors and ceilings and soothing water. The entire house is a total escape, however. Cool in the Kitchen

A cook's dream come true! Ok, even a person who just likes to bake the occasional batch of cookies dream come true (that'd be moi)! This kitchen from the October issue of Homes & Gardens and designed by Toni Silver at Mark Wilkinson Furniture really stores it all in style. I'd love to have a walk-in pantry to hide all my stuff. And the mix of open shelving looks great too, as does the purple on the lower cabinets. But seriously people...the backsplash...the color on that tile is droolworthy!

Room For Color

One of my favorite things about the fall is Apartment Therapy's annual Room For Color contest. I was so excited when I heard the lovely Kelly of Color Sizzle and Porter House Designs had her home office selected to be in the contest. Don't you all love the lilac, aqua and brown color scheme she uses?? I never think of the ceiling as a blank canvas, but I absolutely adore the look of it painted aqua here. Vibrant Bathroom

I love myself a spa-like bathroom with a soothing shade of aqua on the walls, but this vibrant bathroom captured by photographer Dan Duchars features all my favorite colors. I'd say that's a good way to start off the day. That wallpaper is sooooo fabulous, I can't hardly stand it. And I love all the colorful, mismatched towels. When I saw Cameron Diaz at the Costume Institute Gala back in 2007 sporting a stunning purple dress paired with a gorgeous turquoise necklace and earrings, I practically started drooling. (Go look at a picture of her here....totally fab, no?) Purple and Turquoise? I had never considered it before then. Now every time I see a room with the colors, I automatically think back to her, and love the combo even more. And if you see me running around in a purple top or dress, wearing one of my many turquoise accessories, you'll know why!

I am loving this colorful master bedroom belonging to talented designer Philip Gorrivan and featured by New York Social Diary last year. It is understated and elegant, and uses all of my favorite fresh colors. I think we can all agree that the seagrass wallcovering is divine! You can see different images of the room in his portfolio and around the net, but I like these because they are more "real". There's even a phone by the bed!

A Welcome Sight

Simplygrove had this gorgeous image on her blog yesterday. I adore the tufted bench...all the detailing, and the color is just so pretty. I wouldn't think to put it with an aqua color, but it looks so good. I don't know about that kitten print though....kinda freaks me out!
