El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, United States, was designed by KMD Architects. A central extension of plants adding 6,000 square feet of existing 10 000 square foot including installation of new equipment and replacement of existing equipment, while maintaining ease of operation. A reconfiguration of the school as a whole has also been achieved by separating different functional categories on the site. With major design motif that emerged in the retention of some existing facilities to house outpatient services was the creation of an open courtyard between the new and existing buildings.
