It's not every day that I run into a photo that literally takes my breath away. But when I spotted that turquoise bedroom, you should have heard me gasp. The more I dug into the portfolio of Charleston interior designer Margaret Donaldson, the more eye-candy I found. Don't you love all of the ceilings in each of these rooms?? Her brilliant use of color adds so much character! And I just have to point out that bed in the top picture....talk about perfect. Canopy + turquoise headboard = match made in heaven!

Blue Skies Up Above

I'd love to spend my afternoons out on the porch of this Swedish summer home I discovered on Frolic. That blue ceiling is FAB-U-LOUS! And now I'm back to bed. I just can't get rid of this yucky thing I have going on!

Room For Color

One of my favorite things about the fall is Apartment Therapy's annual Room For Color contest. I was so excited when I heard the lovely Kelly of Color Sizzle and Porter House Designs had her home office selected to be in the contest. Don't you all love the lilac, aqua and brown color scheme she uses?? I never think of the ceiling as a blank canvas, but I absolutely adore the look of it painted aqua here. Cute and Colorful Kitchen

I've posted a picture of this Coastal Living kitchen before, but it looks a lot different in this image. I love the checkerboard painted floor combined with the yellow on the bistro chairs and the blue ceiling. And of course all the little touches of color all over the room. Perfection in my book!
