Elsa Soyars

I am really digging the work of Elsa Soyars, an interior designer born in Portugal. If you take a peek around her portfolio, you'll notice all of her rooms are like the ones above...tranquil and calm, yet elegant and refined. But it's the first image that I'm madly in love with. The earthy color palette and all the light streaming in...so beautiful! The bright Trina Turk pillow in the last couple images is just fab too...I love her peacock fabric so much I could eat it right up! Mmm mmm!

Seafoam Hideaway

Straight from the Hamptons, this home featured in September's issue of Traditional Home sure is beautiful. Designed by Ken Gemes and photographed by Tria Giovan, it was the cozy bedroom filled with seafoam (Woodland White by Benjamin Moore) that caught my eye. I love the hand-blocked fabric on the draperies and shams from TylerGraphic, and the aqua upholstered chair and ottoman. The little window seat is so cute too!

Caldwell Flake

Blueprint Bliss and Room Remix have both recently featured some of the stunning work of Lisa Flake and Mary Ruth Caldwell, the mother/daughter team of of Caldwell Flake. However there is nothing like a tour of their portfolio. So many bold vibrant rooms, so many soothing neutral spaces, ALL completely droolworthy. Part of their philosophy is to compose visual anecdotes that are all at once classic, curious and calming, which is definitely apparent in these examples. Do head over to their site though, you won't be sorry!

Lucas Studio

I felt like I stumbled upon a gem when I discovered Lucas Studio and the rooms they designed for the Stately Homes by the Sea Showhouse (and photographed by the talented John Bessler.) That nursery is fab-u-lous. I didn't even realize it was a nursery until I saw the crib and rocking horse! Is that daybed not stuff dreams are made of?! That fabric!! I also included images from the living room. I'm normally a fan of bright colors, but I love this room. That window seat is calling my name! To learn more about these spaces, check out Stylebeat. Have yourselves a fantastic weekend!

Georgia Carlee

I've featured the WaterColor, Florida home by Georgia Carlee of GCI Design before, but after taking a look at her portfolio, I had to feature it again, this time with some bonus images in addition to the ones from Traditional Home. (Plus now I know how to have larger images, 2 years ago I did not!) I love the soothing, beachy color scheme and all the natural elements...totally reminds me of the sand and sky. Definitely the perfect beachy home, if you ask me!

Angeline Guido

I LOVE this bedroom designed by Angeline Guido, a young interior designer out of Dallas. She said the client's 14 year-old daughter wouldn't settle for anything other than blue walls...my kind of girl! (The color is Sherwin Williams SW6945 "Belize".) I think the results are fun and youthful, but still incredibly tasteful. The custom-made headboard and bedding are scrumptious, and I am loving the zebra stool! What a great room!

Today you guys have to head over to one of my favorite blogs, Lovely Scribbles. I was super excited and totally flattered when Nikki wondered if I'd be willing to meet her for a little interview for her blog (so cool that she lives nearby!) We had such an awesome time hanging out, had so much in common, boy did the time just FLY by! Read all about it here!

Bring Home the Beach

Sweet dreams are made of these! My favorite article in the May issue of Coastal Living was Bring Home the Beach. It featured this gorgeous beach home in South Carolina designed by Carter Kay, and photographed so beautifully by J. Savage Gibson. I don't even know what image is my favorite, I love them all to pieces. I'll tell you what though, staring at that first one really takes you away, doesn't it?? For these images and so many more, head to MyHomeIdeas! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, whether you're by the beach or not!

Margaret Donaldson

It's not every day that I run into a photo that literally takes my breath away. But when I spotted that turquoise bedroom, you should have heard me gasp. The more I dug into the portfolio of Charleston interior designer Margaret Donaldson, the more eye-candy I found. Don't you love all of the ceilings in each of these rooms?? Her brilliant use of color adds so much character! And I just have to point out that bed in the top picture....talk about perfect. Canopy + turquoise headboard = match made in heaven!
