I thought this room by Julia Edelmann of Buckingham Interiors was the perfect cheerful, summery image for today! I adore the blue bench and baskets, and how we're all ready for our day at the beach with our towels and lotion!

Tracy's Eclectic Home Tour

Can I tell you how much I love this home belonging to my dear reader Tracy?! I am really digging the mix of modern and vintage, and the fresh color palette that is carried throughout. Each photo has so much to look at, I can just imagine wandering around her home asking, "And where'd you find this?" Isn't the entryway just the most welcoming that you've seen?? Beach-Style Chic

Last week Mona of the Providence Ltd. Design Blog had a sneak peek of the June issue of At Home in Arkansas magazine. She shared images from an amazing villa with a view of Lake Hamilton (see it here), and then THIS stunner designed by Kevin Walsh of Bear-Hill Interiors. There's so much to love in this lake-front home...that top bedroom painted Sherwin Williams Spa, that amazing chandelier, the TDF wallpapered foyer! Love it all! Seaside Getaway

After seeing this living room on Inspiration for Decoration, I headed over to ILEX Construction to learn more about the amazing seaside getaway. I immediately thought Brooke Steuart after I saw that 2nd image. Remember the stairway in her beach home? Turns out she's the one that designed this home too. The tile on that fireplace is breathtaking...makes me want to go for a dip! I'm really digging the whitewashed hardwood floors too. So pretty!

Cool Cabana

I love how this image evokes summertime like nothing else! Designed by Robert Passal, the room is actually the interior of a cabana from a Bergen County, NJ home. (You can see the rest of it here, it's a beautiful home!) I can just imagine coming in here to cool off, grabbing a nice cold beverage, and having a little chat with that cute dog! (Don't you love interior shots with animals?!)

Can you tell that Jamie Drake designed this incredible foyer featured in Connecticut Cottage and Gardens? It's so full of energy and vibrant color, I wasn't surprised at all. I think my two favorite features are the gorgeous grasscloth wallcovering from Phillip Jeffries and the striped stair runner by Tai Ping that you can barely see in the corner. Turquoise and yellow...I can never get enough!

Fresh from Nantucket

Dream home alert! This gorgeous Nantucket home was designed by Brooks & Falotico and Lynn Morgan Design, and was featured in Connecticut Cottages and Gardens. Like me, the wife's favorite color is turquoise, so the color was used liberally throughout the home. We should all be so lucky! And talk about lucky, that Egyptian hand-blown glass chandelier like the one in Sarah Jessica Parker's Hamptons home. What a stunner!
