I Adore Painted Floors!

*sigh* I love painted floors (even green ones)! Hirshfield's Color Club recently had a post dedicated to painted floors with some really cool examples. This first one above from Sunny Goode was my favorite...I'm all about bold color and patterns! So fun! Speaking of painted floors, I had to include this kitchen from High-Heeled Foot in the Door. Camila just finished painting her floor and said it was one of the easiest projects she'd ever done...and it cost only $50! Read her awesome DIY tutorial here!

Malibu Beach Cottage

When my friend Candi of Candace Rose fame shared this Malibu beach home featured several years ago in California Magazine (and Project EcoArt) belonging to Juicy Couture co-founder Pamela Skaist-Levy, I was completely smitten! Like Candi, my dream is to live in a beach house by the ocean (surprise surprise), so seeing these images makes my heart beat a little faster. All the glorious white, mixed with striking punches of blue and turquoise...what's not to love?! Certainly that killer ocean view too! *sigh*

I just love this photo and the peek into the bedroom styled by Sally Denning, former Style Director of Ideal Home magazine. Boy do those colors pop on that all-white canvas. I wish I could fill my home with white floors like this. I'm sure it would look this clean...um...try never, due to the dog. But I can dream! Love the b&w cat too...that's my kind of styling!

Glitz and Glamour Galore

This chic foyer designed by Kelley Proxmire for The Washington Design Center's 2010 Design House is incredible! Kelley was inspired by a pair of turquoise vases she discovered at the closing sale of Charlotte Moss's shop in NYC. For her “Glitz and Glamour Galore” Foyer, Kelley envisioned the space as the Park Avenue home of a New York socialite, and a backdrop for big entertaining. I hope you enjoyed all the readers' room inspiration to kick-off your weekend! I've selected some colorful and bold bedrooms, obviously reserved mainly for the younger crowd. You guys really like to have fun when you decorate your kids' rooms...I love it! Isn't it cool how everyone interprets turquoise differently, and to see all the combinations turquoise looks good with??

Keep your rooms coming to me, I love seeing them!! I'm trying to figure out how to better organize all my email, I never dreamed in a million years I'd get as much as I do! So if you've sent me something and I haven't responded, please be patient! I hope you all have a great weekend...I'm off to Iowa to visit my grandma. She turned 90 this week! :)
